[RANKINGS] Top 5 Dumbest Fanclub Names

For every kpop group or artist there is, most of the time anyway, an official fanclub that is created for them. Something that their fans can be known as; if you love 2NE1, you're probably a blackjack, for the BEAST there are b2uties, U-kiss there are Kiss Mes. Everyone has a fanclub however, some of these fanclub names are just downright stupid, especially as of lately, and here's my top 5.

5.  BTOB - Melody

Really? I mean you couldn't come up with anything better than this? So if I was a die-hard BTOB fan I'd have to walk around calling myself a melody. Sometimes I think about it and say "Well...I guess it could be cute given their name is Born To Beat". But when I first heard they were called this.......I scoffed.

4. T-ara - Queen's

When this name was revealed a lot of kpop fans just went "wtf...WHO PICKED THIS?!" First of all it makes absolutely no sense. Either that or it's confusing. Most people thought Queen's was referring to their fans being "Queens" but their is an apostrophe there meaning that there is ownership? And if it is reffering to the fans, c'mon how many female T-ara fans do you know? So who is the Queen? T-ara? Then why isn't it Queens'...I am confused and that's why this name is wrong.

3. Evol - Vollers

Didn't even debut yet and not only do they have sucky stage names like Jucy and Say but they have a dumb fanclub name which is Vollers...Wtf does that even mean! YES I get it "E-vollers", they took of the "Vol" in Evol and made it plural. It's still dumb.

2. GP Basic - Basically

Basically this is stupid............Need I say more.

 1. Jang Geun Suk - Eels

"I like to eat eels and i prefer it very much when i need to have stamina food, since my fans are like them and always giving me stamina i call them 'eels'"

Mr. Suk..I really would appreciate it if your cute ass didn't refer to your fans as a slimy disgusting water animal. And if you're going to name your fans after FOOD, why not "Rice cakes" or "Pockies". SOMETHING CUTE.

BONUS - The Cutest Fanclub Name

U-kiss - KissMe

I think they have the cutest name for their fans. I'd love to be called a Kissme. And if you say it all together fluidly it sounds really cute as an actual word (I'm dumb).

Jay Park - Jwalkerz

It's not cute but I like calling myself a Jwalker and he got it tattooed onto his back which I thought was the ultimate show of love. I also find it funny that he named us after an illegal action. Ghetto ass Asian =__=

[FRESH FACES] SwiiTeam

Yo yo wassup~ It's da hep hap...lol let me stop.
So anyways! New fresh faces and they go by the name of....Swiiteam!
Swiiteam is a new duo joining the ranks of the hip hopperz.

And these guys are absolutely funny and cute. The first time I discovered them was watching this video

With fresh faces you really don't know much about them. Like I only know one of their names *fail*. But anyways it's good fun music so that's why I chose them.
So check them out!

[OPINION] Is K-Hip Hop On The Rise?

Yes I am shamelessly promoting Freestyle Day. Haha naw I just liked the pic and chose it cause everyone is in it.

So anyways, Is it me or is about 80% of my tlist now made up of k-hip hop fans? The spazzing is no longer limited to the hair sprayed out boy bands of kpop. I would probably say that a good chunk of kpop fans are either; also k-hip hop fans, have completely switched over or at least have general knowledge of k-hip hop artists and a song or two on their playlist.

Whereas two years ago they'd be like "Who the hell is New Champ??!!"

K-hip hop has BEEN on the rise but why now the sudden influx of fans and interest?

In my opinion, it's the mainstream artists who turned k-hip hop into what it's becoming today.

Because let me be honest, I didn't give a two fucks about Dok2's music until I heard him on a Jay Park track. The same with Dumbfoundead, The Quiett etc. I knew Dok2 was considered the best at that time and he was pretty cute but I was never so interested to the point of looking into his tracks.

And with Jay Park introducing me to Dok2, then Dok2 led me to The Quiett, The Quiett led me to Beenzino. Now Beenzino is the best thing that ever happened to me haha.

But these guys only dabbed me into k-hip hop. I listened to them and really nothing else.

And then this group called Block B releases with these two amazing rappers and the fire begins.

Now the bridge is fully drawn, linking kpop fans to k-hip hop. Block B introduces kpop fans to their on-slaught of young, sexy, talented underground friends.

And after this I just see a complete merge of the two fandoms.

Now were starting to see groups like phantom who are associated with Block B through almost Block B member Hanhae.

This brings us to the very sexy and attractive Sanchez by the way ;)

These guys may not be super popular for their music but general fans definitely know them.

I'm pretty sure no one can forget the head shot or the SNSD parody haha.

And there is also New Block Babyz,

more well known for their should I say daring member New Champ and that other guy Zinsuk. I kid I kid Zin =P

You could say they're more associated with B.A.P. but I always associated them with Block B because people only knew them because of Block B.

After Block B brought all this interest to the other sexy youngins in k-hip hop, I started seeing more and more kpop fans getting to know more about k-hip hop. Now my tlist is filled with New Champ and Zion T spazzing when just a year or two ago it was all about Dongwoon, Hoya etc.

Some might disagree, but I don't really give a fuck lulz. But I think it's E.via who really brought female rappers to the attention of general kpop fans.

It wasn't until Shake released that I wondered "Besides...Mirae. Who else is out there?" And that led me to artists like Rimi as I'm hooked on Rimi that led me to always be on the look out for other ladies underground.

This all is happening, especially with the boys, because these guys not only bring fresh, raw music to the table but they're care-free, fun, different, daring and just overall fun to watch. While kpop is dressed up, borderline fake, boring, and just scripted. Every show and interview is the same shit from years ago.

So you see, yes it's mainstream legends like Dynamic Duo and Epik High etc, who put k-hip hop on the map as far as getting in front of the general public, but it's these young new rappers who are turning it into a phenomena that can rival kpop.

Although k-hip hop is still on the back burner, it's definitely getting hotter everyday. Even in this post I didn't scratch the surface of the kids in this rising genre.

People need to know there is more to Korean music than just kpop.

If you're ever in Seoul, visit Hongdae to see what Korean kids are really listening to.

[HOT TOPIC] Who Is Evol's 5th Member?

Stardom Entertainment recently updated their site with a picture of the Stardom family and in this photo it shows a silhouette of Evol.

As far as we know there are only 4 members of Evol; Sohee, Juni, Yeonjoo, and Kristine.

However, in the the photo their is a 5th member with a question mark on her.

Who the hell is she? Well apparently a producer says her name is Yuri. And she's most likely the 5th member because she talks to the other members on twitter and other Stardom trainees.

So whaddaya know Kash was right lol.

Well 5 members or 4 I can't wait for their debut and I hope they're as hip hop oriented as we all expect.

This is her twitter? @llluri

[OPINION] Why It's Taking U-kiss So Long To Win

I'm quite sure you know or have heard of this group called U-kiss. U-kiss is one of the most unluckiest groups in K-pop. They debuted in 2008 and have yet to achieve a number one title, even groups like Teen Top and Infinite have jumped way ahead of them on the food chain. I actually use to stan this group pretty hard at one point. But let me tell why they're having such a hard time winning.

Music Quality/Music Style/Music Choice

Let's just face it...U-kiss's music style sucks. It's like electronic 80s, they have great vocals but this style of music is just so uncool and well...CHEESY...

Another thing about U-kiss is their choice of title tracks. The title track is suppose to be the song that gets people to listen to the rest of the album. However, whoever chooses the title tracks for U-kiss always picks the LEAST favorite song on the album. They need to be fired, honestly.

U-kiss came back not too long ago with 'Doradora' but the best song on the album was 'Amazing'! That song is literally not only one of U-kiss's best songs but it's one of my top favorites this year. But hey they do this every single album!

In their 'Bran New Kiss' album they promoted '0330' which was GREAT, I loved it, it was the only song where they weren't cheesy.
But 'Every Day' is quite frankly their best release period.
Forever promoting the wrong song.

Choreography

Just like U-kiss's music their choreography is cheesy too. Nothing more to say. The best thing they ever did was those body waves in Doradora.
*__* Please do it again.
Overall/Image/Style

Most people would say "Oh it's the way they're being promoted, that's the problem." No my friend. Practically EVERY k-pop fan knows U-kiss. You're not promoted properly when no one knows you. Everyone knows them, it's just that they're WAY too cheesy. It's like they're doing the 'boy band' image at about 200%.

They have great personalities; they're cute, funny, fun and a very interesting set of guys. But they've got to stop being so cheesy with their music.
It's quite frankly making them look untalented when I know they're not.

And I'm not saying they should change but yeah they need to switch it up. Cause this cheesefest thing obviously aint working.

By the way, their DoraDora styling was the best yet, maybe their stylist is finally getting off crack.

I love U-kiss, and wish these boys all the best because they deserve it and it's long overdue. But they need an overhaul.

[NEWS] 4minute and B.A.P. Comebacks

What up yo! 4minute is set to take yet another attempt to make catch on in Japan.

I actually enjoy their Japanese releases more than their Korean ones. And I'm absolutely excited for Love Tension.

It releases on August 22nd, and I'm hoping its not cheap so we'll see then!

More Info @ 4-minute.com

In even bigger news! B.A.P. is readying up a surprise comeback on the 10th with a track titled 'goodbye'.

I'm honestly not expecting much because it's literally out of nowhere. When things release like this it makes it less official.

But nonetheless I'm ready and waiting because it's suppose to be different from their hip hop sound. I've always loved their more r&b tracks so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

[RANKINGS] Top 5 Dumbest Kpop Group Names

Um this had to be done. Kpop has some of the dumbest names for groups I've ever seen...This is just the tip of the iceberg.

5. After School

Ok what does this even mean? I know. They started off with a school girl concept and have a "graduation" system but...This name is still stupid.

Just because you have that concept and this name has School in it doesn't make it right. It could have been After School Girlz, I don't fucking know.

4. SHINee

Has anyone ever stopped to think... What is so Shiny about SHINee? Why are they shiny? What does this mean!!!??

Who's bright idea was it to name them this.

3. Gangkiz

Um. I think we all wondered "wtf is wrong with CCM" when we saw this name in the headlines.

No matter how you explain this name...It's forever dumb.

So..I'm assuming they're not in a gang? Cause either that or they are the children of gang members. The only logical explanation foe this name.

2. Chocolat

They took off the "e" and thought that was cool. Even if you didn't take off the "e" it's still stupid.

1. 2PM

I was gonna put 4minute on this list for the same reason. But what the fuck happened at 2PM?

Whatever the fuck happened, according to the picture above, I wish I had been there.

[OPINION] Why Are Boy Groups More Popular?

I've always wondered why boy groups are far more popular than girl groups. Actually I'm lying, I never wonder why, cause I already know.

Any kpop fan would have noticed by now that it's way harder for girl groups to make it to the top than boy groups.

For example it took SHINee a matter of months before they achieved their first win while it took f(x) 3 years. They debuted in 2009 and won in 2011. SHINee debuted in 2008 and yeah you guessed it, they won in 2008.

And all I'm thinking is....Aren't these two groups like...The same?

One could simply say.."Well there are more girl kpop fans." True and a lot of girls rarely stan girl groups. Some chicks just downright can't stand girl groups. Yeah I know, fucked up right?

However I'm going to give you some other reasons to think about.

One the interesting things I realized is that boy groups are more aggressively promoted. SHINee was constantly promoting song after song from debut until they won. While f(x) would promote, disappear for several months, pop up in some magazines and then come back.

But the two most talked about promotional imbalanced groups has to be 4minute and BEAST.

4minute actually started off incredibly great. They debuted in mid-June with Hot Issue (Ugh) and won in September with their second title track Muzik and they had only been promoting it for close to a month.

Do you see any key point here? Look how close in time their first two tracks are. As soon as they got done with Hot Issue they turned right around and released Muzik.

Cube was promoting them aggressively but then they started to lag, taking longer and longer to release 4minute's next album (with Hyunah's solo in between) when people still hadn't even gotten to know them.

The next time we saw this still rookie girl group 4minute promote another album was in May of 2010. Cube thought that because they had won a few number ones so quickly that they could slack.

4nias claim BEAST is promoted more aggressively than 4minute. Appearing here, there and everywhere, getting solo tours, and certainly landing far more television appearances.

BEAST debuted around late October and won around six months later with Shock. Clearly 4mimute achieved a WAY quicker win. But why is BEAST far more popular?

One of the reasons in my opinion is that BEAST gets far better quality albums than 4minute. Can you name one BEAST album that was just trash? No. I thought so. Now try 4minute..Like 80% of their albums are mediocre. With beautiful songs sprinkled here and there.

We wait so long for 4minute and get disappointed and lacklustered every time. Except Volume Up..heh.

Another reason is that 4minute is not as televised as BEAST. People don't know these girls. 99.9% of the kpop fandom thinks Hyunah is their leader. Whereas EVERYONE knows BEAST.

Another sly thing I noticed is that Cube continued to aggressively promote BEAST even after winning number and quickly shipped 4minute out to Japan. Where their existence in Korea died.

BEAST promoted two albums in 2010, 4minute promoted one and wasn't seen once again until 2011.

It's all about promoting and timing correctly and Cube failed.

Another quick reason I think boy groups are more popular, going back to music quality, is that girl groups are more focused on who can spread their legs the farthest instead of who can reach the highest note or dance the fuck off.

Girls groups are either trying trick you into thinking you should buy their album with their cuteness or their breasts and legs.

While boy groups are crushing them with good quality music and music videos.

[RANKINGS] Top 5 Rappers That Should Stop Rapping

In about 99.9% of kpop groups, one member is assigned as the "rapper". To be quite frank, I'm no hip hop fanatic, however, I do know what a good quality rapper sounds and let me tell you half yo favorite "rappers", don't make the cut. And this 5, ain't even the half of them. I could go on for DAYS.

5. Amber

Now, Amber boo boo, I love you. You're hot and sexy and I'd contemplate going lesbian for you but your rapping skills....Let's just say it needs work.

There is a different between occasionally banging out a good cover of somebody else's raps and being a good rapper. Her flow is borderline horrid most times. She just doesn't flow. AT ALL.

All she has is that sexy "rapper" voice. She can't use it properly though.

4. Eli of U-kiss

Please. Stop. Now.
I think he's sexier when he isn't rapping....Seriously. Only like one of his raps was even remotely close to being legit. Most times I'm just like "wtf why". I love you but stop this madness.

3. Taecyeon

Ok. I think everybody and they momma knows he can't rap. He's really hot and I think he's a funny dork but his rapping is a legit turn off.

He sounds like he's just babbling and yelling half the time and the other half he's just like "hey I got words, let me talk them on this track"

Just be like Nichkhun and try your hardest to sing. Taecyeon's singing is better than his rapping anyway.

2. Yunho (Sex leadah)

My dear. Even cassies know what it is. Yunho sounds like a little boy before puberty when he attempts to rap.

You're so sexy honey, you don't need to rap. In fact, just shut up and stare at the camera. Now that's sexy.

At least his can dance?

1. SM Family

The whole damn SM can't rap. They keep producing these rappers just for a catchy tune.

They really have these rabbit fan girls thinking that these artists can rap....It's so sad. I've watched some chicks argue that Key of SHINee is the best that ever did it. Really people? Key is my awesome diva, but he is not the best rapper in the kpop universe.

Some kpop site had a best rappers poll and mind you, young, amazing rapper who dedicated their whole being to hip hop was on the list like Zico of Block B, Simon D, and GD etc...

And these girls really had Eunhyuk of Super Junior winning.

He's not even a RAPPER. He's one of the best dancers in kpop no doubt but c'mon, Zico and Kyung would eat him alive.

Give credit where credit is due. Stop saying that these "rappers" are better than actual rappers, who rap and only rap to pay their light bill.

Especially when we all know that these companies only determine who will be "the rapper" by how deep their voice is.

[NEWS] Rania's Comeback Is Soon

News of Rania's comeback has been absolutely 0 till now!

I was lolling around on naver and came across this.

"라니아·레드애플 역시 7월말 신

곡을 발표할 예정이다."

"Rania (and LED Apple) are also planning an announcement of a new song (comeback) at the end of July."

FINALLY. Took long enough. Let's hope they pull through.

Btw LED Apple is coming back a little sooner I think. Like July 5th not the end of the month. So he must be talking about Rania lol.

[HOT TOPIC] Where Is Zico?

I'm a hardcore Block B fan. There are very few groups that I put before them.

Lately there has been several swirling rumors that Zico isn't in the group. I'm pretty sure everyone reading this knows about the overblown Thailand incident so I don't need to explain it.

Ever since Block B's Nanrina promotions were cut short, Block B has not only done little promotion in Korea and retreated to Japan but Zico, their leader and pillar member, has RARELY been seen with them. Let alone promoting along side them.

The thought that Zico has left or been pushed out of Block B has ran past almost every Block B fan's mind by now.

Honestly I would love to think everything is cherries and biscuits. But I really think BNS is trying to ween us off of Zico. I HOPE TO GOD I'M ABSOLUTELY WRONG.

Either that or they're just trying to keep him in the dark as much as possible till people forget. I say this because he has done some features recently.

But still not even getting a selca with him and the members together....Even that would put us at ease.

[OPINION] Music Videos

With every title track there has to be a music video. It's the best way to promote a song visually.

In kpop the most awaited moment isn't the release of the song but it's the release of the MV.

And lately, as in the past couple of years, Music Videos have been getting more boring AND boring by the release. Same thing over and over. However, there have been a few diamonds in the fugly mess.

Let's start with more recent releases like F(x)'s Electric Shock.

F(x) are like the queens of boring MVs. They get these amazingly catchy songs, that make you sing them for days, but they get these hella BORING MVs EVERYTIME!

With each release all SM does is recycle their clothes, dye their hair a different shade, and give them flashier neon lights for a set.

It's the same thing with Super Junior. They've had the same video being released since like....I don't even know. Some YEARS now.

SM is just overall the King of Boring MVs.

It's like a battle to see who can blind us the most with their lights. Kpop music videos are losing creativity FAST. But there are always a few groups we can count on to entertain us.

Despite the increasing number of horrible MVs. There has been a little influx of some cool concepts. B.A.P.'s Power MV was pretty awesome and the sets kept me interested.

And T-ara has been shutting every other group down when it comes to MVs recently. Their concepts are fresh and detailed.

Some may complain about their MVs being too long but it's worth it. T-ara's MVs keep you so sucked in that you don't even realize you've just watched a 16 minute video.

And quite frankly you end up wanting more. Well I do anyways.

Sunny Hill is one of those under the radar groups but what they are known for is some pretty interesting music videos. Starting with Midnight Circus. Creepy circus characters, pretty girls, and pretty awesome dance sequence.

I may not understand wtf is going on but I'm always glued to their music videos.

I have yet to see a music video from these ladies that I did not enjoy. The visuals are always flawless and nothing less than stunning.

The concepts are never the same. BEG always keeps you wondering. Even their solo MVs do the same. There is always some creepy story with them.

So, in a nutshell, kpop needs to stop being cheap by reproducing the same music videos over and over. BE CREATIVE!

A music video should be a visualization of the song!

[RANDOM] Hyorin's First Impression of The Members

Sistar was on some show called Hello and Hyorin talked about her first impression of each member.

“소유는 여성스럽고 예쁘

게 생겼었고, 다솜이도 정말 예쁘게 생

겼었다"

"I thought Soyu was lady-like and pretty, I thought Dasom was really pretty too."

효린의 멤버들 칭찬에 보라는 기대에

찬 목소리로 "나는?"이라고 귀엽게 물

었지만, 효린은 "보라언니는 시골에서

온 사람 같았다”

Bora waits for her compliment and asks cutely, "what about me?", Hyorin says, "I thought Bora unnie seemed like a person from the country."

LOL.

Everybody gets pretty, except Bora.

Btw I didn't know Bora was the oldest member O.O
