[RISING ROOKIES] Ace of Angels

Heys guys! Once again I have returned and I'm back with a little series called Rising Rookies. Rising Rookies will take a look at some of my favorite newer artists who are steadily becoming some of kpop's biggest stars.

The first group to be featured in this special is Ace of Angels!
AOA debuted back in July of 2012 and I had no idea they would become one of my favorites less than 2 years later. It seems like just yesterday that they debuted and they've already managed to score there first number hit with their sexy song, Miniskirt, one of my favorites by them.

However they debuted with quite a different concept than they portray now. AOA debuted with a half band half kpop group concept. But they have strayed very far from that concept since experiencing a huge boost in popularity with their sexy concepts which they portrayed in their last three promotions with Confused, Miniskirt, and Short Hair.

Some people hate that they've strayed so far away but in my opinion I don't really mind. I like their new concepts over their old ones however, I do feel as though they're becoming a bit redundant with their music video concepts and formations but only time will tell if they can come up with something new and exciting. Which I'm sure they will.

However, another problem I see with AOA is that one of their members is only a member of the band half of the group which means she cannot promote if they continue on with just sexy dance concepts. Which sucks cause we never see her and I even forgot she existed until today. Apparently she only plays the drums and that's why she only promotes with the band portion of the group! HWAITING YOUKYUNG!!

There were A LOT of people who said AOA would not become popular. But with every comeback these ladies are actually becoming more and more popular. They have managed to do what many many girl groups struggle to do in their entire career's lifetime in 1 year and a half. And not only that but they're a bunch amazing girls as far as personality goes too! I love them and I hope they go far, I know they will. Keep it up AOA!

My favorite member is Jimin, who's your favorite member?

[RANKINGS] Top 5 Underrated Boy Groups in Kpop (Top 8)

Hey guys!! You jjangers you. Jjangers? I don't know where that came from but anyways. This is my countdown of the Top 5 Most Underrated Boy Groups in Kpop. These are boy groups that I think deserve more attention than they're actually getting. I hope you guys enjoy the video and please check out the other videos on my channel and subscribe if you likey! :3

In addition to the groups mentioned in the video here are another 3 that make my Top 10 that I did not mention in the video! :D

One Way

Although they ended up becoming successful producers for other artists, its still kind of disappointing that they never got the attention they deserved as an actual group. I loved their songs and they were definitely very very talented as not only singers but writers and producers. They never tried to fit the typical kpop image and there was just something so unique about them.

Dalmatian

I remember when they first debuted...They were my number one group that I had the most hopes for that year. But the media never let them shine through. As a group they met all my expectations but the media never gave them their shine before they fizzed out indefinitely. And its quite disappointing because they had so many good songs and SO much talent.

I loved the original members and they were my heart. I really do miss Dalmatian and I hope that somehow some way they return. One can only hope right?

M.I.B.

A lot of people don't know this but ummm they're pretty fucking awesome. Have you heard their new album The Maginot Line? No? Then what the fuck are you doing. Go listen now. They're another hip hop based group that gets passed over every single time they have a good comeback.

They are SO underrated that I didn't even know they released this full album and it just came out on the 31st of March. They have a song with Bomi of A-pink and oh lord its sooo good. I have no idea why they never get any spotlight because there is nothing boring about these crazy rascals. Their reality series, W Academy, had me laughing for days!

[RANKINGS] Top 5 Female Solo Artists

Heys guys! I decided to count down my top 5 female solo artists! There aren't many solo artists in kpop but the number of solo female artists have been on the rise in last few years. Its definitely a happy site to see and very refreshing when there are a billion groups debuting every year. So, these are some of my favorite solo powerhouses, some of which I don't think get the attention they deserve.

I did not include girls like BoA or Hyori because well, we all know they're classics. I wanted to recognize some of the newer or underrated ladies of kpop.

[REVIEW] Girl's Day - Something

Hello my lovelies!
Today I'm going to try a new type of post and they are REVIEWS. I've always wanted to review albums and songs but I just didn't think that people would read them because why. But I really want to start doing them so let's get started!

My first review will be on Girl's Day's new comeback song 'Something'. Now I love me some Girl's Day but I find that only every other song from them is actually good. In this comeback Girl's Day is once again displaying their sexy and it totally works for me. I really don't miss their old cutesy image at all.

From the moment Something starts until the end it has a very addicting tune. Its definitely one of those songs that gets stuck in my head and ends up on repeat on my phone. I love the flow and arrangement very very much.

However, there were a few things I did not like. One of them being that member Hyeri had not a single line in the entire song and that's really unfair. Every member had their chance to shine while Hyeri just got a scene of her singing over another member's voice (and she does that live too).

Another thing I did not enjoyed that much about 'Something' was the awkward "Bouncing" dance. I think for such a beautiful song they could have had WAY better choreography to go with it. And the only thing the MV really had going for it was the mindblowing eye candy.

But overall I still really love the song and I think its one of their best comebacks still not topping 'Expectation', I don't think but its up there. And even though the dance is kind of weird, I still enjoy watching the MV over and over for its sexy appeal.

Song: 9/10
MV: 7/10

Comment down below and let me know what you guys think of Girl's Day's sexy comeback!!

[FRESH FACES] Serine Lee - Kasper

Hey guys!
I haven't done a fresh faces in a while so here we go!!

Today's Fresh Face is Serine Lee A.KA. Kasper.
She is a 20 year old female rapper who is currently a trainee. I'm not sure what company she is under but this girl is absolutely amazing. Don't let her cute face fool you she can actually rap, write raps, and arrange
raps hah. I first discovered her as I was bored as shit watching youtube videos and someone had her as a special guest on their video. They introduced her as rapper who was currently a trainee under a company. She was so interesting and cute that I decided to check out her channel. The first video I saw was "Blood On Leaves" and to my surprise Serine delivers.

Kasper - "Blood On Leaves"

A very short clip showcasing her amazing flow and heavy voice. I instantly fell in love.

Kasper - I wish

I recently have had this song on repeat. She arranged the song and lyrics herself after the original song by Cher Llyod. Its definitely my favorite song from her so far. I hope to see her debut soon but even if she stays just like this, she has me as a fan.

[RANKINGS] Top 10 MVs of 2013

Its that time of year where I round up my top best Music Videos of 2013 and Top Songs of 2013 (too follow soon after). These were the music videos I found myself replaying over and over to the point of knowing every single part. These music videos were either full to brim with eye catching eye candy or they had a story to tell. So here we go.

10. Bangtan Boys - N.O.
One of my favorites this year for the show of choreography. I enjoyed this music video than the one they did for 'No More Dreams'. Their outfits were amazing, the scenes were exciting, and of course the song was fucking great.

9. Block B - Very Good
This music video had me cracking up for some reason. Well besides the hella craziness that went on in it. Block B definitely came back with a bang with this music video (too bad the album overall was lacking).

8. Junhyung - Flower
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking, "this is some odd shit." and I was also thinking, "this is about Hara" but that's besides the point. I wish the choreography was shown a bit more but other than that it was pretty cool weird video with plenty of eye candy and flowers. Especially since Junhyung is my bias.

7. Sistar 19 - Gone Not Around Any Longer

I replayed this video so many times everyone thought I was lesbian. The glass table ass sliding dance, the outfits, the backgrounds. Everything was clean and beautiful including the ladies of Sistar 19. I enjoyed this music video to the fullest.
6. Hyori - Bad Girl

Of course Hyori the great lands on my list with her very interesting and VERY entertaining music video for 'Bad Girl'. I loved the fact that it had a little story and it was more than just eye candy since that's basically all we get in most kpop videos. But the eye candy was also nice ;) by the way that picture right there is of my favorite scene from the video haha.

5. Brown Eyed Girls - Kill Bill

Every year BEG lands on my list for the best of something. And its usually for their music videos. Their MVs are always packed full of entertaining scenes. And in this MV they covered one of my favorite movies 'Kill Bill'. And not to mention the sexy choreography in this baby.

4. After School - First Love

This is the best MVs from After School hands down. I don't know if its because of the dance or what. But I replayed this video more than any video on this list and that's saying a lot. From the eye candy to the beyond blazing hot dance on poles everything about this MV was perfection. This was the first MV that I actually downloaded to my phone so I could keep watching.

  3. Sun Mi - 24 Hours

I was slightly interested when I heard Sun Mi would be returning as a solo artist but after listening to the song and watching the MV, I was absolutely in love with everything about her. The scenes from the MV were a mix between sexy, lovely and just fucking great. Sun Mi pulled this off beautifully. And I'm still in love with the choreography for this song which was shown perfectly through this video.

2. SPICA - Tonight

This MV from SPICA is one of the most color and interesting videos I've seen in a while. Although I didn't like the song very much, I still found myself watching this video just for the imagery. If I could gif every single part of this, I would.

                  1. Trouble Maker - Now

My favorite duo in all of kpop. And they finally came back with 'Now'..The music video for this song is simply very pleasing and very entertaining with its movie-esque format. From the craziness of the imagery and scenes to the steamy chemistry between Hyunseung and Hyuna displayed in the video, it was all just perfect. This music video definitely takes my top spot.
'

Guys let me know what your favorite music video of 2013 was. I would love to hear it.
